No free water for swimming pools
Question: I just found out that Kentucky American Water Co. gives a credit of 12,000 gallons of water every year to people with swimming pools. I also found out that the company doesn’t check before allowing the credit to ensure that a person does in deed have a pool. Is this correct? It seems to reward people with enough money for a pool over those who can’t afford the luxury of a pool.
Answer: According to Brian Wright, External Affairs Manager Kentucky American Water, there is no such program at Kentucky American regarding credits for people filing swimming pools.
He said the company once gave free water to a downtown school that needed to wash graffiti off the walls of the school and free water is offered through fire hydrants. But giving credit to fill swimming pools is not a service provided by Kentucky American Water Company.

Now, almost all of our research is online. We've come a long way.
